LOVE IS… (1 Corinthians 13)
I could speak the words of angels
I could see forward in time
I could understand the Father
I could do the greatest sign
I could make my faith move mountains
I could draw power from above
I could even be a martyr
Yet be nothing without your love
Love is patient, does not envy
Love is kind, there's no pride
Love's not boastful, nor self-seeking
Love is truth, never fails
Love is great
All the prophecies will finish
All the tongues - they will be hushed
All the knowledge - it will vanish
When perfection comes to us
Once I thought and talked and reasoned
As a child does every day
Now I’m older they’re behind me
I know love is a better way
Love's forgiving, never angry
Love's not rude, only good
Love's protecting, persevering
Always trusts, always hopes
Love is great
Now we see a poor reflection
As a mirror in a haze
Yet some time the day is coming
When we will see face to face
On that day we shall know fully
As we’re known by God above
Now there’s faith, hope, love remaining
But the greatest of these is love
Love is patient, does not envy
