Thoughts While Unwell

                 Thoughts While Unwell

As I lie upon this bed
And think about the life I've led,
About my problems, big and small
And how God's seen me through them all.
Without the love of my Father God
Which path of life would I have trod?
Without Him there to show the way,
I may have faltered, lost my way.
The paths of life are never plain
The very reason there's so much pain.
So much anguish, so much strife,
For some, it's just their way of life.
For it's all too easy to go astray,
To be too busy to even pray.
But He's ever there to guide and love,
And show the way to Heaven above.
Now I pray, and seek Him from my bed,
I remember things I should have said,
Like, "Thanks and sorry", ask forgiveness too
For others, that have forgotten You.
"I thank you Lord, you've heard my prayer,
I know You have, for you're always there,
I know that I am on the mend
I thank You Lord, my dear, dear friend"

    Amen
